With the rapid development of our economy, the process of China’s highway construction has been accelerated, and gained the success that attract worldwide achievement. But the construction and operation of the highway to the roadside ecological environment has brought much more negative effects,and have a serious impact on the sustainable development of human society in the future,attract a lot of attention.Therefore,committed to the road ecological environment monitoring-, evaluation and repairing is very important.Vegetation is the most sensitive part of the ecological environment, and reflect the regional ecological environment in good condition.The leaf area index(LAI) is an important parameter of vegetation, and reflect the growth status of vegetation.When the vegetation growth environment has been affected, it will contribute to the change of vegetation LAI.Therefore, the growth status can be monitored by LAI road vegetation changes.The evaluation of the ecological environment in the past just stay on the plane, static, single scale, qualitative direction.Researching on evaluation of vegetation ecological environment is not strong. Therefore, In this paper, using TM/ETM multi spectral remote sensing data as Information source,combining with the PROS AIL model on roadside vegetation LAI inversion study,Taking LAI as the monitoring indicators of temporal pattern of vegetation changes way to investigate the applicability of PRO SAIL model in road vegetation environment monitoring ev-aluated on.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Sensitivity analysis of the input parameters of PROS AIL model discovery:The maximum relative sensitivity of LAI and chlorophyll is larger sensitive in the blue band, the green light and red band.(2)Combined with the input parameters of the PROS AIL model sensitivity analysis results,construct the canopy reflectance-LAI lookup table.Inversion based on lookup table and TM/ETM remote sensing data,giving inversion of high precision and good effect.(3)Analysis of road vegetation LAI vari-ation pattern.5 years after the opening and operation of high grade highway, road vegetation LAI changes the relative maximum.After 5 years, the change of road vegetation LAI was relatively small.(4) Analysis of spatial pattern of road vegetation change in LAI.High grade highway operation, maximum relative variation of vegetation LAI on both sides of the road in the 0-300m region,300-600m in the second, and 600-1500m not affected, the effect is obvious hierarchy.(5) According to the change characteristics of the vegetation of operation stage road area, put forward the corresponding vegetation restoration guidance and protection measures.
