In the field of production logging, domestic logging surface instrument is still in the stage of numerical control logging, the technical level of production logging surface instrument seriously lagging behind in the openhole logging surface instrument and the exploration logging surface instrument, because the data acquisition of logging surface instrument is based on industrial computer bus technology, so the expansion ability is weak, system reliability is not high, it’s not conducive to be large-scale matching.In view of the development of current measuring and controlling technology, the model, high reliability and real time data acquisition technology has matured, at the same time, the embedded system has been widely used in the field of measurement, control and the development of programmable technology provides favorable conditions for the signal acquisition and processing, so production logging surface instrument is facing the opportunity of renewal. This paper discusses through the research on PXI bus technology, embedded real-time system development technology, FPGA technology, virtual instrument technology, signal conditioning/equalization technology, well logging software development technology, and this advanced technology is reasonable and effective be applied in the development of production logging surface instrument. According to the development process and steps of the surface instrument, I has carried on the analysis to the demand of production logging instrument and finished the overall design, the detailed design and the function realization process and the testing process of the instrument, finally, I finished the development of surface instrument successfully.At present, the surface instrument has got into the test in some oil wells; it achieves the expectation of production. The instrument is stable and convenient; the interface of software is beautiful and functional.
