With the implementation of the western development strategy, the construction of large and medium-sized projects emerge as the times require various. But because of the special geological features in the northwest, engineering problems in engineering construction is also emerge in an endless stream. The soil of northwest area is mountainous, hilly and Quaternary loess, loess landslide geomorphic, leading to problems in engineering is particularly serious.This article mainly from the Loess joints of loess landslide, mechanism of landslide research. As everyone knows the Loess joints are the important factors that influence the engineering properties of the. Understand the characteristics and joint shear strength of loess in the loess region soil moisture infiltration, is one of the basic work in the loess landslide and loess characteristics and related geotechnical engineering problems. Based on soil test be remolded and joint friction angle of intact loess after disturbance. Analysis of the Loess joint friction angle changes with the curve of water, when the water content reaches the limit water content, loess joint friction angle. When the moisture content is lower than the water content of loess friction angle increases with the water content increasing. When the moisture content is higher than the water content, loess joint friction angle increases with the water content increasing. When the moisture content is higher than the water content, loess joint friction angle increases with the increase of water content and decrease.
