The southern segment of Shuixie Cu-Co polymetallic metallogenic belt in Yunnan province is located within borders of Goujie-Zhujie township of Changning county and Shuixie township of Yongping County in the western Yunnan procince. The tectonic position of the metallogenic belt is in south- central Changdu-Lanping block of Qiangtang-Sanjiang orogenic belt. The area is a strong tectonic deformation zone, and its faults and folds are extremely developed. The main tectonic line in the area is towards to NW-NNW. The main ore-controlling structures are the NW-NNW trending thrust faults and bedding decollement layers fractured zone. The metallogenic geological conditions in the region are advantageous and the mineral resources are rich. The geologic and mineral research extent of Shuixie Cu-Co polymetallic metallogenic belt is imbalance.Research on north section is deeply. The area have been found a medium-sized copper cobalt deposit. While geological work of the southern segment(the study area) is a relatively small investment, only sporadic distribution of mineralization, and it’s totally disproportionate with its superior geological setting.Through the 1:50000 stream sediment geochemical survey in the study region, to increase the research on the basic geochemical aspects of the study area,in order to ascertain the various geochemical characteristics of ore-forming elements and circle the geochemical anomalies in the region, and for the metallogenic prediction. The paper is based on the 1:50000 stream sediment geochemical survey data of Goujie in the southern segment of Shuixie Cu-Co polymetallic metallogenic belt.19 kinds of elements in stream sediment samples were analyzed in the study area. The distribution of elements in different geological units is identified. The enrichment factors of Sb, Hg, Ag, As, Pb, Au are bigger than others. The change of element content is large. The dispersion degree is high. The possibility of enrichment mineralization is large and the exploration prospects are good. The author used multivariate statistical methods to analyze the correlation, factor and cluster among the 19 kinds of elements, and to understand the combination of characteristics between elements. The 19 kinds of elements in the study area are divided into four combinations: ① Cr-Ni-Co-Fe-Sn-Ti-W; ② Cu-Bi-Pb-Zn-Mo; ③ Sb-As-Hg-Au-Ag; ④Cd-Mn. The author calculated the background value and the threshold of the metallogenic elements in the study area by means of iteration method. Then the author analyzed the abnormal characteristics of elements, and delineated the elements’ geochemical anomalies. At the same time, the issue according to the characteristics within the element combination anomalies to delineated the combined anomalies and comprehensive anomalies. On this basis, the author delineated 14 integrated anomalies. The author selected 8 important anomalies which started from the geochemical characteristics and geological background of anomaly area to do anomaly interpretation and evaluation and to identify the important features of the anomalies. The anomaly of HS4,HS5, HS6, HS11 and HS12 was determined by using soil profile survey to identify the anomalies of abnormal mine. Some geogas survey sections was setted in order to verify the deep mineralization in HS5,HS12 anomaly area. The author had a certain understanding of the deep geochemical information of the study area. Four blind orebodies which caused by the abnormal ground gas were delineated.Through the comprehensive research on the study area, combined with the geological prospecting criteria and geochemical prospecting criteria, the study area can be divided into six metallogenic prospect areas, two of them are grade II metallogenic prognosis zone, and the other four are grade Ⅲ metallogenic prognosis zones, then the direction for further exploration work was pointed out in the paper.
