Arc discharge is a discharge phenomenon in the industrial welding arc, arc discharge is avery complicated process. A lot of problems is not clear now, especially the cathode electronemission problems. The arc from the angle of magnetic liquid is studied by many scholars.The temperrature field of electric arc and the distribution rule of current density isobtained,this article mainly carried out the simulation about the arc from the angle of particlephysics and electrostatic field. Based on this, coupled with a rotating magnetic field, themovement behavior of the welding arc under the rotating magnetic field is studied.Based on the study of the mechanism of arc discharge, the model of air and underwaterwet TIG welding is established by Vector Fields.The medium of underwater wet TIG weldingis divided into plasma bubble,transition and lipuid layer.The simulation result is agree withtest results of other researchers, and the method is proved to be feasibility and rationality fromanother aspect. The simulation of arc current density is carried on, the distribution of thecurrent density is obtained as follow: it obey gaussian distribution on the radial position,whichmeans that the current density of the arc center is the largest, otherwise, on the axial location,the closer the distance from the cathode, the current density values is larger.On the basis ofarc simulated, the trajectory of secondary emission and anode back-scattered emission arediscussed in this paper, getting the trajectories of secondary emission and back-scatteredemission is related with the particle’s emergence angle and particle with charge.A rotating magnetic field generator is designed and carried out the simulation on arotating magnetic field in Vector Fields. By the simulation on a rotating magnetic field andelectric arc, the rotational frequency of arc is changed with the rotational frequency of themagnetic field is concluded. The rotational radius of arc is inversely proportional to therotational of the magnetic field frequency, which means that the greater of the rotationalfrequency of the magnetic field, the rotational radius of arc is smaller. The arc movementform changes by changing the size of the field current. And the rotational radius of arc isincreased with the increase of excitation current. So,different rotating arc movement form canbe obtained by adjusting the size of the excitation current.In this paper, arc and arc motion behavior under rotating magnetic field is simulatedfrom a new angle, it provides a certain reference for the scientific research and engineeringapplication of arc.
