The ocean tide is one of the most important basic parameters of marinehydrodynamic field, ocean tide measurement data is an important guarantee to carryout smoothly the business of coastal tourism, construction, marine forecast andnational defense building. To ensure the tide observation instruments measured data isaccurate and reliable, requiring regular verification or calibration of the tidalobservation instrument with tidal level measuring instrument, to ensure theaccuracy,stability and traceability of observation instruments, and ultimately all ofour tidal observation data will be traceable to national standards of measurement ofocean tide in China.The research designed the system of ocean tidal level measurement and testing based onDSP. The system used the digital signal processor as the core hardware circuit, usedDM642chip and development board, completed the work of hardware circuit designand simulation; used CCS simulation and code optimization, completed the tideidentification procedures for the preparation, optimization and debugging. At the timeof image processing, firstly done the image preprocessing, then run the tiderecognition processing function, pre-determined image binarization the dynamicthreshold and reading tide line scale numbers, Calculated the stored template and readdigital sample matching degree, with a minimum distance method to return thenumber category, calculated the final tidal height. The system achieved ocean tidemeasurement data display, storage and playback capabilities, and real-time graphicsrendering. In order to improve the measurement accuracy, stability and reliability ofthe data, analysis and mathematical statistics by data could show error analysisaccuracy level; By repeatedly measuring the same measure could get the derivedstability index; through measurement uncertainty analysis could get the evaluation ofreliability index.The research has done the combination of the image processing technology andmeasuring principles, what could enhance the level of the ocean tide measurementtechniques; to analyze and process the data using the method of mathematicalstatistics, which is more scientific, comprehensive and reliable to improve ocean tideheight measurement level. The research results can develop new tide gauges whichcould provide a theoretical basis and experimental testing platform, has a moreimportant theoretical and practical significance in our country.
