Abstract:The study area is located in Ruoqiang County, which belongs to Aerjin metallogenic belt. The region is far distance and high mountains, bad climate conditions, inconvenient traffic and low degree of geology and mineral resource work. Using remote sensing technology could overcome the limitations of physical geography, quickly understand the regional geological background and metallogenic geological conditions of the study area.The essay takes multispectral as data source, on the premise of analyzing mineralization background and geological conditions, combining with field validation and actual spectral data analysis, using high spatial resolution data (WorldView-2) to achieve lithology identification and extraction, ETM data assists lithology identification, and completes remote sensing anomaly information extraction, taking the method of multi-source information to achieve ore prospecting research. The major methods and findings are as follows:(1)Use image processing technology, to pretreatment, enhanced processing and statistical analysis of ETM and WorldView-2data, study the correlation between each band, select the appropriate band for synthesis processing.(2)Fully analyze the spectral absorption characteristics of typical rocks and minerals, the processing and analysis of measured spectral curve to determine the diagnosis of different spectral characteristics which are contained in rock group.(3)Depend on prospecting factors such as different lithology, stratigraphy, structure shown different colors, shape, and texture in the image, to achieve WorldView-2lithological information extracted in study area, and build three-dimensional ETM images that could reflect ground conditions, in order to strengthen the identification of lithology information.(4) Apply principal component analysis (PCA) to extract iron oxide anomalies and hydroxyl anomalies, which are related to metal mineralized. Get the remote sensing anomaly to threshold segmentation and filtering processing.(5) Six new copper and iron polymetallic mineralization were discovered by the verification of anomalies. Three prospecting targets, which could deploy the direction to geological prospecting work for the area, were selected on the basis of mineralization prognostic study.
