Taxonomic Study Of Cicadini From China (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)

The present thesis mainly deals with the systematic taxonomy of the tribe Cicadini in thesubfamily Cicadinae (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) from China. The research on the tribe Cicadini isreviewed. Morphology, characteristics of classification in the application, material andmethods are introduced, and geographical distribution of the tribe Cicadini from China isanalyzed. In the taxonomic section,147species belonging to27genera of4subtribes in thetribe Cicadini are reported, of which2are new species,1new combination,1new recordedspecies and2new synonym are included. Keys to all included taxa are given. Photographs of67male species and26female species are presented, including both the male genitalia and thefemale terminalia.
