Chaos anti-control is a hot topic in the current field of chaos control. With theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, projective synchronization and its applications have been studied. The works has important theoretical and practical significance:Two identical chaotic systems coupled generalized projective synchronization problem have been studied, based on generalized projective synchronization. The condition to achieve synchronization has been proposed, and then the numerical simulation on Matlab platform shows the effectiveness of the condition. It was suitable for the third-order and fourth-order chaotic systems. Generalized projective synchronization of the new hyperchaotic system with unknown parameters has been studied. These methods have achieved the aim of tracking unknown parameters. Numerical simulation has proved the effectiveness of the methods.Appropriate feedback controller has been designed based on Lyapunov stability principle and function projective synchronization. The controller is suitable for two identical or different chaotic systems. The adaptive function projective synchronization and the synchronization performance have been studied. The range of the projective synchronization scale factor is extended. The function scale factor was replaced by function matrix which has different vector. Then, the improved function projective synchronization has been researched. A one driving signal projective synchronization theory of one new five-term hyperbolic chaotic systems has been studied, the scale factor is one of chaotic system’s status output. The synchronous mode is one special case of improved function projective synchronization.Chaos conceals and their improvement plans are applied to secure communication. Image encryption has been studied based on improved function projective synchronization. The performance of encryption has been analysis through histogram and adjacent pixels correlation calculation.
