The success of shale gas in North American brings a boom in global exploration anddevelopment. Global recoverable shale gas resources are456×1012m3, of which Chineseoccupide much (15~20×1012m3). Gathering in nanoscale pores, shale gas could generate andstore oil and gas. As a major component of shale gas, adsorbed gas could accout for20%to85%in shale gas, and affects exploration period and diminishing speed. China organic-richshale can be divided to marine, transition, lacustrine. Their adsorption capacities are differentdue to the various sedimentary environments, organic soures, diagenetic stages, evolutions oforganic matter.Concentrating on different sedimentary faces, the samples were carried out adsorptionisotherm, XRD, and rock pyrolysis experiments. Analyzing and comparing the influences ofadsorbent, adsorbate, and external factors on shale adsorption capacity. Filtering out mainfactors, combined with vrious adsorption theory, shale adsorption model could be established.Applying adsorption model to Shangyang group in south of Yitong Basin and typical horizonsin China. Results show that organic matter and clay mineral are the main adsorbent in shale, and have positive correlation with adsorption capacity. The capacity of clay is more when theorganic matter id little in shale. Temperature and pressure have a greater impact on adsorptioncapacity, which should be involved in the model. The impact of humidity on adsorptioncapacity is limited, when it is balance, could be ignored. Langmuir model is the best, the porefilinng model is better. The adsorption capacity of transition facies is much stranger thanothers, and the lacustrine is the weakest. Estimated adsorption resourses by modeling are5.38×1011m3, the results of marine are equal to transition facies, and of lacustrine are weaker.Conbining with the genetating ges, adsorption resourses could be got, which are significantfor resouses evalution of shale gas and the design of development.
