The stoichiometry of nitrogen and phosphorus plays pivotal role in the growth and metabolism of plant. And its concentration is an important index in the prediction of ecological change and metabolism of plant from individuals to the whole ecosystem. Numerous studies have found that ththe plant metabolism rate changes with its environment, and plant stoichiometry also has significant relationship with the later. However, the specific quantitative variation in plant stoichiometry along water, temperature and other environmental factors is still a popular topic.Recent studies showed that a large number of individual plant metabolic rates were influenced by the enviorenmental factors. And variations of plant metabolism with the resources supplication obey to the Michaelis-Menten equation.it is still unknown for us that whether the plant stoichiometry changes with the environmental factors quantitatively. This research was set the plant metabolism as a link to the plant stoichiometry and environmental factors to establish a quantitative rule. This study hypothesised that the stoichiometry of plant changes with the environmental factors quantitatively. And we verified it by collecting the published data and the sampling data from the field. This study intended to address the following issues:(1) The soichiometric relationship between nitrogen and phosphorus in plant.(2) The metabolic mechanism of plant stoichiometry which changeed with environmental factors regularly. Results are as follows:1. By the intermediate variables betwwen stoichiometry and environmental factors, we derived a quantitative equation among plant stoichiometry, water and temperature.2. By collecting the published data and field sampling data we verified the hypothesis. There is a quantitative relationship between plants nitrogen and environmental factors.3. For the variations in metabolic rates, the parameters in the equation for stoichiometry of nitrogen and phosphorus changes with the environmental factors different plant. And there is a nonlinear relationship between plant phosphorus and nitrogen to the Michaelis-Menten equation.
