The Minimal Dilaton Model (MDM) is an extension of the current Standard Model (SM) with a singlet scalar. This effective model can be seemed as a linear realized model of general dilaton field in some other theories. This new scalar dilaton field can mixes with the standard model Higgs boson field to form two mass eigenstates, and the light eigenstate can correspond to the125GeV Higgs like boson, which had been reported by the recent LHC experiments. In this paper, we performed fits to the Higgs data under a serious of theoretical and experimental constrains, and then investigated the phenomenology of Higgs boson of the MDM in not only the heavy dilaton scenario but also the light dilaton one. We find that:(i) if we separately considers the ATLAS data and CMS data, the MDM will be able to explain all of them better than SM result, but refer to different parameter space because of the apparent difference in the two sets of data of the two collaborations. However, if we considers the combined data of LHC and Tevatron, the MDM can’t give a better explanation than the SM, and the dilaton component in125-GeV Higgs will be less than20%at2o level,(ii) The current Higgs data can constrain stronger on the light dilaton scenario than on the heavy dilaton scenario,(iii) A Higgs triple self coupling produced by heavy dilaton scenario can be much larger than the SM value, and thus, higgs pair cross section at hadron colliders can be significantly enhanced. With a luminosity of100fb-1(or10fb-1) at the14-TeV LHC, a heavy dilaton of400GeV (or500GeV) can be examined,(iv) In the light dilaton scenario, the Higgs exotic branching ratio can reach43%(or60%) at2o (or3o) level when considering the CMS data only. This may be detected at the14-TeV LHC with a300ftb-1luminosity and the further Higgs Factory.
