Geological core not only isone of the most valuable information to studyunderground mineral resources, but also is the most direct and important basis to understand theunderground information. Core informationanalysis, acquisition and management are theinfrastructure work of mineral resource exploration and development of oil and gas.The core characteristics ofgeological structure, structure, lithology, etc, are recorded by people with the naked eye observation after description. Macroscopic observation, although has the advantages of intuitive, clear and true, but it is hard to avoidcore information loss caused by friction, collision after multiple sampling from the core and core mobile. In addition, the various ingredients of airalso can make the core loss of information because of weathering. Thus, the general core taken time for more than five yearshave been unable to re-describe and it is not conductive to the follow-up study of geological data. If again for coring, not only a lot of material resources, financial resources andmanpowerwill be wasted, but also affect the protection of natural environment. As the core information obtained by manually, differences in people’s subjective factors will influence the core objective evaluation of the geological structure characteristics, last reducing the accuracy of the information. Cores and information loss are the biggest technical challenge to the core information acquisition and management.How to preservation, management, the use of core information conveniently and realize the core information sharing has been the goal of science and technology workers.Application of new techniques and methods have promoted the core data collection and storage which also promote the geological research and geological prospecting, oil and gas exploration in progress.Italso solves the physical core storage and post information from all causes distortion and other issues. Such as the first domestic core scanner from the Yangtze University (the former Jianghan petroleum institute) developed by YXCJ type core and high resolution image acquisition instrument and YXCJB portable core high resolution image acquisition device, implements the core image scanning, management and analysis.The core image collected by various instrumentsis two-dimensional, and discontinuous, causing it lack of three-dimensional features and geological characteristics of continuous, such as granularity, cracks,holes, etc. The existing solution is to use third party software or software developed by manually splicing.Facing the vast amounts of core image, these artificial splicing method of investment in manpower, time will increase greatly, and artificial stitching will inevitably produce difference, so the artificial splicing method is not only inefficient, but also cause the core lack of geological features.This paper completed the following three aspects:Automatic seamless core image.Direct access to the core image compared to solid core is discontinuous, thus realize the core image and the three dimensional histogram seamless splicing, make its continuous properties of solid core has practical meaning.Based on the improved Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) algorithm to extract features, implements the core image automatic seamless splicing, and prove that the algorithm is practical through practice.Completed a three-dimensional view of core gesture control algorithm.On the basis of core image automatic stitchingandthe three-dimensional core image processing, we use the depth sensor device to collect image information for gesture recognition.Based on the improved Kalman filtering algorithm we have achieved hand gesturerecognition in real-time, which have more degrees of freedom, no contact and many people can operatingthrough3d core at the same time.Achieve a technology which shared geological information in the distance.We mention the idea of a time division multiplexing which use of fpga development board, projectors and industrial cameras to achieve the separation of physical objects and background. Using of this technology in conjunction with the Internet data transmission, we can share remote geological data in real-time and for the first time obtain geological information, which could improve work efficiency.Therefore, base on the premise of petroleum geology, and combined with multidisciplinaryknowledge we areable to developa set of business intelligence software which could automatic seamless core image, non-contact browse and effective access to core information, permanent preserve and manage the core image.The softwarenot only can observe, description, analysis and processingthe cores, but it alsocan provide conditions to shareremote geological data, undoubtedly all of this has important practical significance.
