Reservoirs of SaⅡteam~PuⅡteam in Lamadian Oilfield are mainly fluvial faciesdeposits with high thickness sands overlap vertically, because of severe heterogeneity andlong time water flooding, these thick reservoirs developed unevenly, even become the biggestcontradictory in oilfield development. Results from hermetic coring and drowned well flooding explanation shows, both severeinvalid cycling and residual oil rich area are existed in thick reservoirs after water flooding, these areas are also key research area in oilfield development nowadays. Based on3D-geological modeling research and residual oil numerical stimulation research on thickreservoirs, multidisciplinary research has focused on inside of thick reservoirs. Finegeological research results have been widely used in oilfield development by quality andquantity description of residual oil distribution and location of big channels inside thickreservoirs. Through advanced technology research, technical standard has been established;multidisciplinary research application platform has been widely expanded, work efficiencyhas been highly enhanced,3technical keys are worked out,1.Use data from crop, core, anddense well pattern logging explanation resources to improve reservoir fine research, refinetechnical process, sequence research methods by depositing modes;2. Launch4kinds oftechnologies for multidisciplinary research to improve accuracy for search results.3. Studyapplication and technical process for research results to define bottom line for potential layer, the coincidence rate for well stimulations has reached83.7%. Important technologyfoundation is built to guide thick reservoir water flooding development and adjustment andimprove EOR for thick reservoirs.
