Low productivity and watercut has become a challenge for production logging withfurther development in Daqing Oilfield. Matching periphery oilfield development, theproduction profile logging technologies in low productivity and watercut wells can not onlyprovide basis for oilfiled development and adjustment, but also can improve the quality ofdynamic monitoring and expand its field of application.Confronting with logging challenges in low productivity and watercut wells in theperiphery oilfield, this paper makes researches on the following aspects: a low startingdisplcement flowmeter is designed which aims to solve the problem of production monitoringin the low productivity wells; watercut measuring methods and sensor structure are optimizedto improve logging resolution; separating unit is designed in the measuring channel to solvethe problem of degassing and research on how to reduce the impact of gas on themeasurement of flow and watercut is also conducted; response rules in low productivity andwatercut wells are also discussed. A new small diameter turbine is designed based on theoptimization of its structure and therefore the starting lower limit can reach0.3m3/d. Theresponse rules are learned based on the optimization of watercut measuring methods in thelow productivity and watercut wells.The flowmeter can solve the problem of flow monitoring in the low productivity andwatercut degassing wells in the periphery oilfield and has gained a success in the filedapplication. This matching technology is practical for periphery oilfield development. It isbelieved a good way to improve the logging efficiency and its success.
