Thanks to its special advantages of non-contact and non-damage, optical tweezers has been more and more applied to various fields and has become an important tool for studying cell biology, surface physics, micro-electromechanical systems. The nature of optical tweezers technology is the momentum exchange between light and particles, so the momentum characteristic of directly determine the effect of particle case. As an important vortex beam with a non-zero orbital angular momentum, Laguerre-Gaussian beam is different for its unique spiral phase from ordinary light and the fundamental mode Gaussian beam. The effect of orbital angular momentum lighting on particles produces nonezero angular moment, whose performance on macro-particles is angular rotation phenomenon. This new type of optical tweezers-optical spanner can not only capture the particles, but also rotate it. For example, when studyding scattering questions of the irregular particles, particles rotate under the action of the optical spanner, the receiver can get the scattering spectra of any surface, the parameters can be more precise for analying particles.This paper describes the optical properties of Laguerre-Gaussian beam,the simulation phase of its strength and special surface. By means of calculating,the paper also analyze the momentum,angular momentum and the mechanical properties of Laguerre-Gaussian beam. Finally, according to Rayleigh scattering model, the paper calculate different parameters’effects on trapping force.
