On the basis of fields investigation, this thesis takes Corylusmandshurica as the research object, the characteristics of Corylusmandshurica communities were studied in Dahe forest area inZhongtiao mountain, Mianshan forest area, Xingtangsi forest area,Qiliyu forest area in Taiyue mountain, Wulu mountain in Lvliangmountain, Mengxinnao nature protection area in Taihangshan,Jingangku forest area in Wutai mountain, Wangzhuangbao forestarea in Hengshan of Shanxi Province. The species composition, areal types, TWINSPAN classification and DCA ordination, speciesdiversity and plant architecture characteristics were studied bystandard sampling method and quantitative ecology method, so thatthese results can be as theoretical basis for ecological conservati-on of this species and scientific unilization. The results showedthat:(1) There were totally198kinds of plants in studied area, belonging to54families and147genera. Among them there wereferns2family,2genus and3species, gymnosperms1family,2generas and2species, dicotyledonous45families124genera and171species, monocotyledons6families19genera and22species. (2) The types of distribution of Corylus mandshurica plantcommunities were diverse. There were8types of Families ofdistribution,19types of Genus of distribution. The north temperatezone plant most widely distributed in plant community, which isconsistent with the characteristics of the area belong to the area ofnorth temperate zone.(3) According to the TWINSPAN classification, and concerningabout the actual ecological significance, the Corylus mandshuricaplant communities were divided into12groups as following: I.Assoc.Corylus mandshurica-Carex lanceloata, II.Assoc. Corylus mandshu-rica-Circaeaalpina, III.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Phlomisumbrsa,IV.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Elymus dahuricus, V.Assoc. Corylusmandshurica-Aster ageratoides, VI.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Sanguisorba officinalis, VII.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Dendrant-hema chanetii, VIII.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Elymus dahuricus+Carex lanceloata, IX.Assoc.Corylus mandshurica-Artemisia lavand-ulaefolia+Elymus dahuricus, X.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Poaalp-ina, XI.Assoc. Corylus mandshurica-Artemisia lavand ulaefolia+Carex lanceloata, XII. Assoc. Corylus mandshurica+Spiraea pubes-cens-Artemisia igniaria. The DCA ordination of the plot figure wasconsistent with the TWINSPAN classification, which proved that therationality of the TWINSPAN classification and DCA ordination axisreflected the change of plant community from south to north. Thetemperature gradually reduced from south to north, plants of eachassociations presented gradient change along with the change ofenvironment.(4) The species diversity of the12association and the2layers of Corylus mandshurica communities were studied by using Margal-ef and Patric richness indices, Shannon-Wiener and Simpson divers-ity indices, Pielou and Alatalo evenness indices, respectively. Theresults showed that: The change trend of Margalef and Patric richn-ess indices was similar to that of Shannon-Wiener diversity index, but the Pielou and Alatalo evenness indices was not obvious.(5) The Corylus mandshurica were selected as the objects ofstudy in Dahe forest area in Zhongtiao mountain, Mianshan forestarea, Xingtangsi forest area, Qiliyu forest area in Taiyue mountain,Jingangku forest area in Wutai mountain, Wangzhuangbao forestarea in Hengshan of Shanxi Province. Using methods of branchingpattern and fractal dimension combination to study the Corylusmandshurica architecture characteristics in different habitats. Theresults showed that the overall bifurcation ratio and the ratio ofbranch diameter(RBD2:1、RBD3:2) in Dahe forest area were higher thanthose of other areas. The overall bifurcation ratio of the Corylusmandshurica in Dahe forest area, Mianshan forest area, Xingtangsiforest area, Qiliyu forest area,Jingangku forest area,Wangzhuangbao forest area were0.54±0.02,0.35±0.03,0.42±0.05,0.32±0.04,0.29±0.07,0.31±0.05, respectively. The stepwise bifurca-tion ratio exhibited an opposite trend with the overall bifurcationratio, the stepwise bifurcation ratio of the Corylus mandshurica inWutai mountain were the highest. However, the branch angle of theCorylus mandshurica were significant differences in each studiedareas of Shanxi Province. The branch angle of the Corylus mandsh-urica gradually decreased from first class to third class. The branchangle of the Corylus mandshurica in Jingangku forest area of Wutai mountain were the highest in all levels of branch angles. The orderof the branch length of Corylus mandshurica were Jingangku forestarea>Wangzhuangbao forest area>Qiliyu forest area>Xingtangsiforest area>Mianshan forest area>Dahe forest area, and exhibitedan weakening trend from from first class to third class. Fratal dime-nsion was an important indicator, which analyzed the complexity ofplants. Generally speaking, the greater the value of fratal dimen-sion, the stronger the plant occupy space, that the greater the pote-ntial use of space resources. As the fratal dimension of the Corylusmandshurica, the bifurcation dimension and crown fractal dimen-sion were highest in Jingangku forest area. Plant crown structurewas closely related to its biomass. Leaf was the photosyntheticorgan of plants, the size and shape was final product of plant-heat,moisture, light and so on interaction. Leaf area, leaf biomass andbranching biomass from the side reflected the architecture charac-teristics of plants. In this study, it analyzed the relationship amongplant architecture, the leaf area, aboveground biomass. The leafarea and aboveground biomass of the Corylus mandshurica showedgradually decreased from north to south of Shanxi Province. Theaveage of leaf area, leaf biomass and branching biomass of theCorylus mandshurica were greater in Jingangku forest area ofWutai mountain. According to these results, further explores ofCorylus mandshurica were studied to understand adaptive strategyin different habitats.
