The three phase of lunar exploration mission’s goal is to collect lunar regolithsamples return to earth. Considering the randomness and uncertainty of lunar regolith,these may affect the reliability and rationality of drilling sampling process. Based onexperimental for drilling faulty online identification, this paper aims at efficient andintelligent drilling. On the basis of drill and lunar regolith interaction mechanics model,EDEM simulation and Support Vector Machine can obtain the appropriate faultycondition troubleshooting method and reasonable drilling characteristic parameters.Inorder to realize the automatic drilling on Lunar Surface without manual operation, wemust carry out drilling faulty simulation and identification online method research.Firstly, based on the theory of regolith mechanics and screw conveyor, andconsidering the drill configuration parameters, drilling work model and drilling faultycondition, the stress and velocity model can be established. By using the clearance angleas the breakthrough point, chip removal driver can be researched at different rotationspeed. Combined with EDEM simulation, study of these can provide basic theory ondrilling faulty simulation and elimination method.Secondly, Experiments can be conducted to analyze the drilling draining, chokingand hard material practical simulation. On the analysis of time features indicators,effectively characterize signal features can be extracted. Combined with the rotary driveunit of mechanical, part of peaks on the torque spectrum can be explained by analyzingspectrum, power spectrum and demodulation.Last but not least, Support vector machine is carried out for research to buildidentification system. Through online identification for single drilling faulty conditiontest, verify the rationality of the working condition of drilling faulty elimination methodand the identification method of sensitivity and robustness. The overall experiment isconducted to test recognition accuracy and the reliability of the troubleshooting methodsunder the condition of random drilling faulty condition.
