There are a variety of complex networks in the real world, such as transportationnetwork, financial information network, biological network, power transmission networkand social network, and so on. Due to the wide range of applications in physics, biologyand information science, complex networks have already received people’s concern.Synchronization is an important research direction in the complex network fields, and hasbeen one of heat issues since the1990s.With the development of science and technology, such as the robot formation andunmanned aerial vehicles, people use a lot of multi-agent systems to take up some kinds ofdangerous productive labor or greatly improve the efficiency of production. Consensus isthe core problem in multi-agent systems, and has become a research focus of complexnetwork in recent years.In this paper, based on graph theory, matrix theory and Lyapunov stability theory, theproblems about cluster synchronization of complex networks and consensus of multi-agentsystems are studied. The tool of MATLAB is used to verify the correctness of the theory.The main content of the paper is described as follows.The first chapter gives an outline about research background, research significance andresearch status of both complex networks and multi-agent systems, and introduces themain contents of this paper.The second chapter introduces relevant knowledge on synchronization of complexnetworks and consensus of multi-agent systems.The third chapter proposes both pinning and adaptive feedback control methods toachieve cluster synchronization in a nonidentical and delayed network. Then, somesufficient conditions are given to realize cluster synchronization in the network. Finally,numerical simulations are performed to verify the theoretical results.In the fourth chapter, a new concept about cluster-delay consensus is defined. And then,the problem of leader-following cluster-delay consensus in a nonlinear multi-agent systemis investigated. Accordingly, a control protocol on cluster-delay consensus is given. Finally,some numerical simulations are also given to verify the theoretical analysis.The fifth chapter studies a second-order consensus problem in a nonlinear multi-agentsystem with switching topology. Some sufficient conditions are given to realize consensusof the multi-agent system with impulsive control. Numerical simulations are performed toverify the theoretical results that the second-order consensus of the nonlinear multi-agentsystem can be realized. In the sixth chapter, based on graph theory, Lyapunov stability theory and matrix theory,a novel impulsive control protocol is given to realize the consensus of the third-ordermulti-agent system. Numerical simulations are performed to verify the theoretical results.The seventh chapter gives some conclusions and summarizes, and puts the forward tothe prospect of the further research.
