Xiaxian is located in the southeast of Yuncheng Basin, situated in Qinglong Valleygraben areas. Because of its southeast rely the Mountain Zhongtiao, northwest nextMingliaogang convex, Affected by tectonic stress, therefore geological disasters is welldeveloped, particularly ground fissures. Yuncheng Basin belongs Fenwei region and is in thesouthern of the Shanxi graben system, with the role of regional stress, for Xiaxian geologicaldisaster bred conditions. Since the70s of last century, ground fissures had occurred, becamea major geological disasters in the region, causing a major impact and great threats to theproduction of local residents living and life and property.This article based on the researth project " the comprehensive study of Fenweiregional ground fissures and disaster reduction ", through the extensive collection of Xiaxianhydrogeological data, utilization of a variety of technical methods and tools, in-depthunderstanding of the geological background inYuncheng Basin, through detailed the fieldsurvey, compiled a comprehensive development and activity characteristics of groundfissure in Shanxi Xiaxian area, and the plane distribution characteristics of the region andprofile ground fissures were summarized, revealing characteristics of engineering disaster inthe region, discussed hazard mechanism to crack, analyzed Xiaxian disaster area to crackpregnant conditions and genetic model, and on this basis, the mechanism of formation ofground fissures mass was simulated, and finally were studied genetic mechanism. The mainwork and results are as follows:(1) Through a large field survey and data collection, analysis and fracture geologicaltectonic geomorphology environmental background Shanxi Xiaxian region to crack formationand describes the activities and developmental characteristics of each branch of the fracture,and to identify areas in Yuncheng Basin Xiaxian distribution of crack and developmentalcharacteristics.(2) Typically along fractures to draw lots to large scale1:1000crack distribution plan, adetailed characterization of the morphology of the survey area plane geometry typicallycracks in crack distribution and disaster situation. (3) Use of trenching, geophysical and other technical means, systematic research anddevelopment situation in the region of deep ground fissures and mastered sectional structureof ground fissures.(4) In consideration of the southern basin of Mountain Zhongtiao and northern basin ofthe southern edge of Emei mesa-Purple two faults, under the influence of ground fissuremass mechanism was simulated Yuncheng Basin concluded cracks Xiaxian area to highlightthe development.(5) Based on the analysis along faults, over-exploitation of groundwater andgroundwater infiltration and other factors on the area to explore the cracks pregnant disasterconditions and genetic model, analysis of the genetic mechanism along the ground cracks.
