Recent years, with the highly development of human society, the outer spaceexploration projects, mineral resources exploration and the molecular structureresearch, have experienced an unprecedented development, these technologies havealso played more and more important roles in social production, among which, thelaser-induced breakdown plasma spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser Raman spectroscopy(LRS) technology emerging as an important means of elemental analysis andmolecular structure research, have been attracting much interests of researchers thosedays with their unique advantages. Meanwhile, because of the further study of thisfield in elements and material extent analysis, people are eager to find detectionmethods that could be much more convenient and more accurate, and also pay moreattention to practical means of detection in complex production conditions. Most ofLIBS methods used now still needs to get the samples back to the laboratory for testing, which makes it difficult for real-time and non-contact detection of material elements. For example, in mineral resource exploration operations, researchers often encounterof a steep cliff whose mineral resource content are potential and unknown, fieldworkers can not enter the unknown mined and dangerous work area, this may lead toinadequate number of samples that should be got and leave an adverse impact to thesafety of the mineral exploration personnel and the national mineral resourcesexploration. Remote LIBS detection technology can give full play to the advantages ofreal-time, long-distance and non-contact features that LIBS technology owns. Withthese feathers being fully used, difficulties in remote material resources detection andremote qualitative and quantitative analysis can be solved successfully. The LRS is anew and developing method in molecular structure detecting technology, jointly studythe remote LIBS detection technology and LRS technique can lay the foundation forthe realization of both the function of substance element detection and molecularstructure detection.Firstly, a study had been made and a set of remote LIBS detection system hadbeen built, then comprehensive methods, including line-width measurement, wavelength comparison, time-delay method, ablation hole effect and spectralbroadening comparison, have been taken to calibrate the detection error of the whole remote LIBS system. A spectrum experiment had been conducted for the elementalqualitative analysis of an unknown rock10meters away, a range of chemical sampleshad been prepared for the quantitative analysis, the traditional spectral analysis methodhad been optimized into single element spectral quantitative method and multi-ionicspectral quantitative method, which are much more accurate. With these newmethods,Cu and Ba elements that the ores contained had been analyzed of theirprecise quantity, chemistry experiment was also shown in this paper for mutualcomparison, and data processing and error analysis were also done. This paper alsostudied the matrix effect that the non-metallic elements exert on the laser plasma of themental elements. After testing, the matrix effect on the measurement of metal elementsthat C and O element exerted had been showed from the orientation of particleconcentration and the plasma temperature, the key parameter, such as the temperatureof matrix effects inflexion point, had been achieved. Secondly, this paper also studiedthe theory of Raman spectroscopy for the detection of molecular structures, the Ramanspectra of carbon tetrachloride had been tested, the vibration characteristics of itsmolecular structure had been analyzed, the depolarization degree of each vibrationmode is calculated, the effects of temperature on the Raman spectra had been discussed, and various parameters of Fermi resonance of carbon tetrachloride had been gained aswell. Finally, the paper put a summary of the full contents of the study, point out thedeficiencies that existed in the present study, and also provide some suggestions onfurther research work in this field.
