Studies On Guizhou Less Sunny More Rainy Days

“There were never three sunny days in a row”was a sign of Guizhouprovince. People’s view of Guizhou have never changed since old times,this idea had a negative effect of Guizhou economy.This thesis was based on local chronicles、celebrities’ traveling diary ofGuizhou during Ming and Qing dynasty.Adopting the research method ofliterature method,comparative method and data statistics, measurementmethod.Firstly,the weather of the whole Guizhou province was analyzed,theindex mainly includes the number of sunny and rainy days,and theirproportion.Secondly,analyze the main cities in the west、in the east andin the center of Guizhou,weather of every historical period alsoincluded.The last part discusses what negative effects “There were neverthree sunny days in a row”brings to Guizhou agriculture.It is showed that the weather of Guizhou has features asfollows:First,the proportion of sunny and rainy days has a trend of gettingsmaller,and there are more sunny days in summer than winter during ayear.Secondly,the rain getting less from west to east of Guizhou.The climate has an extreme effect on Guizhou.It will bring a positiveand far-reaching influence to Guizhou’s economy and politic if theweather proverb is well treated.
