The effects of moisture content on dynamic mechanical behaviors of clay is verycomplex, because it is deeply affected by the moisture content, density, strain rate and soon. The study of the behavior of such clay when subjected to complex stress conditionsis the base of in-depth understanding of the mechanical properties of clay andestablishment of the basis of the unsaturated clay constitutive model. In order to find out the rule of the unnoisture soil behavior under blast loading, theresponse observed in split hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) tests and triaxial tests wasinvestigated, and finally simulation of SHPB was done by LS-DYNA software. The keyworks of this paper is as follows:1.In order to find out the relationship between the strength parameters and themoisture content of the clay, the paper did triaxial tests obtained four different moisturecontent clay samples. By studying the results of the static ecperiments, finally,we fittedout the comparison ecpression between the strength parameter and the moisture contentof the clay.2. By the tests of different moisture content clay samples which were made on asplit Hopkinson pressure bar setup with lateral confinement, we got A large number ofexperimental data.3.By analizing the results of the unnoisture soil SHPB tests, we summed up the ruleof the effects of moisture content on dynamic mechanical behaviors of clay.4.In this paper, we simulated the SHPB tests by LS-DYNA software.
