Medical ultrasonic endoscope, with the advantanges of non-invasive, painless andnon-ionizing radiation, has gradually become the weapon in diagnosis technology.The micro array ultrasonic probe of the ultrasonic endoscope imaging system and theelectronic endoscopy are combined to send into the human body.As a result, not onlythe lesions on mucosal surface of organs can be observed, but also the accuratedigestive organ diseases tomography image can be obtain by ultrasound scan.Itprovides objective basis for the doctor to do symptomatic treatment.In this paper, an imaging system based on FPGA is proposed, on the foundationof the research on single array ultrasound system rotating scan imaging system. Thefront-end analog transmission circuit and the array strobe circuit are designed,multi-channel echo receiving circuit is used to pre-process the echo signal received byultrasonic transducer. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used for systemtiming control and digital signal processing. Also, the experiment platform based onthe array ultrasonic probe was set up to verify the performance of the system.The main work is listed below.Firstly, the array endoscopic ultrasound imaging system was proposed. Based onthe characteristics array ultrasound imaging mode, a novel ultrasound imaging systembased was determined. The analogue echo waveform was displayed on anoscilloscope and digital echo signal was processed and uploaded to the computer.Secondly, the front-end excitation pulse transmitting circuit, array strobe circuitand echo pretreatment circuit were designed and debugged by using oscilloscope,signal generator and other tools, in order to obtain the analogue ultrasonic echo signal.Thirdly, using Verilog HDL, program of FPGA was written and compiled inQuartus II. System’s timing control and module design were implemented in FPGA,with the realization of filtering, beam synthesis and demodulation.Lastly, the array ultrasonic imaging experimental system was set up. Theexperiments of echo simulation waveform extraction and ultrasonic scanning imagingwere made. Through the analysis on the experimental results, the array ultrasonicimaging experimental system was proved reasonable and correct.
