With the rapid development of Chinese industrialization, the pollution of waterresources has been a topic of concern. Water pollution has severely damaged the balanceof the ecological environment, and also threatened the health of people in our country. Thedetection of pollutants in water resources, especially organic contaminants, has a long wayto go. The design of fast and efficient detection equipments is a major problem to besolved.Fristly, this paper describes the generating mechanism of fluorescence and therelationship between fluorescence intensity and the concentration of a substance frommicrocosmic point of view. Combined with the structural properties of materials, the paperalso analyzes the fluorescence of organic contaminants in water and the feasibility offluorescence detection.Secondy, the limitations of conventional two-dimensional fluorescence spectra andthe superiority of three-dimensional fluorescence spectra are analyzed. The paperintroduces the processing and analysis methods of three-dimensional fluorescence spectra, emphasized on analyzing the factors that affect the three-dimensional fluorescence spectraand giving the correct way.Again, the detection system for detecting organic contaminants in water is designedbased on the theory of three-dimensional fluorescence. The system consists of an opticalpart and a signal-processing part. The optical one mainly includes the designs of lightsources, monochromators and optical fibers; The signal-processing one includes thedesigns of amplification circuits and filter circuits and the selection of microcontrollers. Finally, the optical detection system is designed in detail and the feasibility of thelight path is analyzed. The fiber-type optical system can be used to correct the EEM andthe concentration of single-component. This paper presents a form of shared optical pathmonochromator, qualitatively determine the feasibility of shared monochromator.themonochromator optical path is simulated and analyzed by the ZEMAX optical software. Itis confirmed by simulations that a stronger resolving power is arrived at with adual-grating monochromator used.
