The purpose of the space-based space target imaging is detecting, observingand imaging the space target by the space camera (remote sensor) which is on thespace-based platform. Compared to ground-based observation method, this imagingmodality is more flexible, could observe the space target all-weather real-time, it notonly can be applied to military applications, but also can act at space debris warning,and it has good application prospects.This thesis focuses on research on space-based multispectral imaging system ofspace targets. The main content includes the following:Firstly, do the research of the radiation characteristics of space targets. Theenergy of the radiation of space target is the root cause of imaging system response.In this paper, the visible and infrared characteristics of the space target are analysedand calculated, providing the basis for follow-up imaging system design.Secondly, relevant parameters of the imaging system are analysed discussedand determined, including the basic parameters of the optical system and integrationtime range of focal plane detector. After detector’s analysing and selecting, theeffective aperture of the dual-channel optical system is analysed and calculated,from the perspective of detection ability of the imaging system,combining with thecalculated result of radiation characteristics of the space target.Finally, optical system is designed. According to the results of thepre-feasibility, the structure of the optical system is analysed, furthermore adual-channel system combined with Ritchey-Chretien system and prismaticdecomposition system is adopted. After the design, image quality evaluation andtolerance analysis are accomplished.This article is a research on space-based space target imaging system overalldesign.
