To realize the evolution of paleoclimatic in the future more clearly, it is important to the research of the climate, explore and analyze the processes and mechanism of the paleoclimatic more clearly so that we can predict the change of the climate in the future. The oceanic sediment contain enough information and its continuous profile, the history of this oceanic sediment is very long , so the research of the oceanic sediment is very important to the explore of the paleoclimatic and paleocean. North Atlantic is one of the driver of the global climate change, the change of ocean- atmosphere-cryogenic system will cause massive scale change of climate all over the world. The original research of millennial-scale climate change is carried out in North Atlantic firstly, which is an ideal and irreplaceable research area. The samples in this paper were selected from site U1312B on Expedition 306 in North Atlantic. The thermoluminescence(TL) of the samples(0-3.6Ma)were measured, and research paleoclimatic characteristic of the TL of long scale oceanic sediment.According to the measure of TL of sediment which was selected from site U1312B on Expedition 306, the TL of the carbonate calcium ooze in different site and different age all over the globe shows an increase associated with theδ18O of foraminifers. High value TL of sediment shows an anti- associated withδ18O, it is called as interglacial cycles; Low value TL of sediment shows an associated withδ18O, it is called as glacial cycles.Comprehensive effects of the lightness are the accumulation of material composition, which can describe difference of the sediments. The site of high value lightness indicates high TL, and low lightness indicates low TL. Lightness can describe the amount of carbonatite. TL change trend of sediments of 1312B shows a great consistency with lightness, it indicates partly the relation between TL intensity and the amount of carbonatite, this result is same as MD81349 and ODP758.The change of NTL in different latitude and different sediments shows that, NTL has a good effect that it can indicate the circle of climate change very well since 3.6Ma B.P., interglacial cycles correspond high value TL, glacial cycles correspond low value TL. In 3.6Ma B.P., according to the consistency of the change of NTL and the change of climate, we have an effective way to learn the driver of complicated change of climate, it will be an important and new physical way to prescribe the change of climate accurately in the future.
