Study On The Network-based Forestry S & T Achievements Extension Service System

This report, firstly describes the intension, forms and the development of network technique and internet-based information service, the definition, categories and characters of forestry S & T achievements, and the basic theories (creative dissemination, behavior theory, field theory and system theory) applied in forestry S & T achievement extension. The report discusses the development and principles of China's forestry S & T achievement extension and the role of forestry S & T achievement extension system, and reviews the changes of China's forestry S & T achievement extension in recent years as well as the history of China's forestry S & T achievement extension, and introduces the experiences of foreign countries, points out the relationships between S &T Extension and Internet-based information service, that is the internet-based information service is a good measure to tackle the current problem existing in forestry extension service ( lack of funding, human resources and lack of monitoring measures). Secondly, the author picks up the Chinese Forestry Information Network (lknet) as a case study, the network-based data resources and services of China's forestry S & T achievement are introduced, including categories, structures, contents and characters of databases, figures out the role of internet-based information service in forestry extension, and then develops the model of China internet-based forestry extension service. Finally, The author holds that: 1. The multi-level forestry S & T achievement extension systems in national, provincial, forestry colleges, and institutes levels have been established. These systems are the key media of forestry S & T achievement extension, and are playing important roles. 2. A network-based forestry S & T achievement extension system has been formed in China. 3. The government should provide with more support in the aspects of policy and administration to forestry S & T achievement extension system. Some suggestions are put forward on strengthening and improving China's forestry S & T achievement extension in the future.
