The Effect Of FDI On Export

This paper briefly reviews the theories about Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), discusses the theoretical relation of FDI and export. After that, this paper discusses the different characters of FDI and export among three provinces—Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Basing on the theoretical analysis, this paper mainly does the empirical analysis on the influence of FDI on the export. The main conclusions of this paper are:1) FDI enhances the growth of those provinces's volume of export and the improvement of export structure.2) The contribution of FDI on export increases year after year.3) The FFEs' preference of processing trade leads to the inconsistency of exports structure and industry structure, and leads to the weak competitive ability of export product.Therefore, this paper adopts the proper policies according to the situation we analyzed above, expects to promote the positive effects of FDI on export.
