The Relationship Between Fairness And Efficiency

The traditional and realistic relationship between fairness and efficiency is the eternal theme which runs through historical development of human society. Enhancing efficiency and maintain fairness have always been the theme and goal of human activities. China has proposed the principle of"give priority to efficiency with due consideration to fairness"since China's reform and opening to the outside world. It breaks down the egalitarian distribution pattern, accelerates the development of national economy and highly improved people's living standard. It ignores, however, social fairness and aggravates social unfairness and contradictions.
