An Analysis Of Application Of Information Technology System And The Changes Of Organizational Structure In Modern Corporation

The application of information technology system becomes more and more popular in modern social organizations, especially in business corporations. And the information technology system is essential to the changes of the structure of corporation. The theme of this thesis is an analysis on the situation of application of information technology system in automobile service companies.The thesis is structured as follows. First of all, there is an introduction of the background of the application of information technology system in our automobile service companies. And then, the literature reviews begins by a look back to the history of development of theory on social organizations. Next, the concept of information technology and information technology system was explained. The thesis uses the framework of theory of social organizations to explore the relationship between the information technology system and the structure of organization. In this particular situation, strategies made by organization on the changes of structure have a decisive effect on the existence of the information technology system.The research method of this thesis is case study and interview. The empirical study focused on analyzing on the typical process of the application of information technology system. This Thesis attempts to construct meanings from the observation of the subjective experiences of the automobile service companies in order to gain particular insights from their feedbacks.The analysis is carried out while the case study goes on. The conclusion includes three points of view. First, the informal groups in corporations effect the application of information technology system in two possible ways: positive and negative.
