Research On Logistics Demand Analysis And Logistics Volume

With the economic globalization nowadays, Logistics, as one kind of advanced organization manner and management technology, has become "the third profit headspring" next to production and marketing. All over the world modern logistics has turned into a newly promising and potential industry as well as the foundation and source of establishing enterprise competition advantages. At present, the logistics practice is developing rapidly while the theory is relatively delayed, so it's necessary to take certain and corresponding research on logistics theory.During the course of modern logistics planning, logistics demand analysis is an absolutely essential phase. It not only provides social logistics activity with capacity supply and meets the requirements of logistics demand, but also guarantees the equilibrium between supply and demand of logistics service in order to keep the logistics activity efficient and effective. In the process of logistics demand analysis, the logistics demand volume and logistics demand structure are usually investigated, especially the demand volume. However, in the actual operation the cognition to logistics volume is totally different which makes the confusion to a large extent. Within the framework of logistics demand analysis, this study emphasizes on some critical aspects, such as its definition, computation, application scope, advantages and disadvantages, etc. so as to clarify the misunderstanding and universalize the views. The following aspects are mainly discussed in this study:(1) Analyzing the logistics phylogeny and management pattern home and overseas and enlightenment to logistics demand analysis;Expounding the research purpose and research status home and overseas;(2) Explaining the definition, features and analysis contents of logistics demand and taking pertinence analysis;(3) Illuminating the logistics volume purpose, research status, existing problems, study assumption, problem conceptualization and category;(4) Emphasizing on logistics volume in terms of numerical measure,classifying into pure volume, gross volume and logistics turnover volume according to different perspectives, and comparing them from the aspects of meaning, computation, application scope, merits and drawbacks;(5) Emphasizing on the logistics volume in terms of value, and presenting systemically the logistics total cost composition based the limitation of current composition home and overseas.(6) Analyzing the principles of logistics demand indexes design, putting up with the design indexes corresponding to logistics volume indexes, logistics demand quantity indexes and logistics demand pertinence indexes.In summary, this paper systematically expatiates the logistics demand and logistics volume from various aspects mentioned above, particularly several different understanding of logistics volume, which is conducive to the understanding of logistics volume essence, and the improvement of logistics theory as well as the application in logistics system planning practice.
