Being faced up with various risks in the course of investing, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in our country still has many imperfections in the investment risk management. Therefore, setting up a reasonable and effective mechanism of the investment risk management of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is of very important reality and urgency.From the standpoint of the investment administrator of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and on the basis of carrying out further investigation on its investment characteristics, this paper carries out detailed theoretical research and empirical analysis on the investment risk management of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) from several aspects of the risk identification, risk measurement, risk protection , risk supervision and risk management system to try to construct a comparatively intact investment risk management system of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) under our country's specific system terms, aiming at promoting the sound development of the investment undertaking of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in our country.Based on the risk management theory and the modern investment theory and by using the knowledge of mathematics model and combining the relevant contents of economics, statistics and management science, this paper carries out the research on the problems of the investment risk management of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in our country employing both qualitative and quantitative methods from three levels of general mechanism research, theory model research and empirical research.Using some mathematics models such as Mean ~ Variance Model, VAR Model, etc. and carrying out risk measurement and performance appraisal according to the characteristics of the investment of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), this paper constructs the investment portfolio model of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and carries out empirical analysis and statistical testify which provides a resolution forquantized risk management. In addition, from the aspect of the investment risk management system of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), it studies the organization system, operation mode, institutions and measures of the investment risk management of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), offering wide thinking space for controlling the risk which can not be quantized.
