Study On Chinese Securities Regulation

Although appearing just before about 10 years, Chinese securities market has made great progress in the speed, the scale and the depth of its development. It has exerted a great function in Chinese economic construction. At the same time, quite serious risks exist in Chinese securities market due to economic system, society and history etc. Once the risks can't be controlled effectively, that will cause a lot of trouble and further lead systematically financial crisis overalls, bring economic disasters and cause political disorders. Therefore, how to control risks and strengthen regulation in securities market aren't merely the research contents of economic fields, but the vital realistic problems relating to economic and national safety.Western theories explain potential necessity and rationale for securities regulation and give some advice on how to overcome the securities-market failures, while it is weak and lagged on the research of securities regulation in the theoretical circle domestically. In addition, many problems appear suddenly without answers in western mature theories because Chinese securities market develops in the period of economic transition. Thus it makes the research more difficult and more challenging. Some methods such as positive and normative analyses, qualitative and quantitative analyses, comparison between history and reality, combination between abstraction and examples are used in the dissertation in view of economics, statistics and game theory. Depending on the western mature theories and experience, and the connection between the development of Chinese securities market and economics transition in China, the dissertation endeavors to approach Chinese securities regulation from a comprehensive, historical and dynamic point of view.
