Research On Operational Pattern Of Occupational Pension

Since the 1980s, the mandatory social systems of the majority of countries have been experiencing serious financial deficit due to economic recession, aging population and other factors. As a country with the largest old age population in the world, China is suffering from the same problem too. However, past experience of the western country proved that the robust development of the occupational pension is very helpful in solving such problem. So it becomes our major concern to improve our three-pillar pension system and actively develop occupational pension system, this is a task that would not only affect the social stability and political stability of our country but also crucial to the sustainable development of our economy.There are two major factors to ensure the healthy development of occupational pension, one is suitable operational mode, and the other is proficiency in capital operation. Appropriate choice of operational mode is the premise of excellent capital operation, while proficient capital operation is the purpose of regulating operational mode. Supplemental to each other, together, these two factors contribute to a healthy occupational pension. So this dissertation investigated the operation of occupational pension by analyzing these two factors in the hope of making subtle contribution to the rapid and health development of its development.First the dissertation explained the definition and meaning of occupational pension, and come up with several useful experiences through analyzing the developing history and current status of the occupational pension in western countries. Then it analyzed the operational modes that comply with our current law and regulation, and it compares each mode with regard to feasibility, qualification request, operating efficiency, easiness of supervison, etc. And come up with proposals of making choices. It then investigated the capital operation on the premises of analyzing the current regulation environment and status of our capital market, and put forward a series of proposals to improve the capital operation of occupational pension.
