On Knowledge Management In Social Organization

Abstract/Summary:
Based on the concept of the knowledge and knowledge management, this article discusses the knowledge transforming, the knowledge integration and the knowledge sharing in social organizations. Knowledge includes explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge, and knowledge management is made up of human, technology and orgnization. The SECI model and the N organization model show four kinds of knowledge transforming pattern in the social organization. The knowledge transforming in social organization should abide by the principle of accumulating, sharing and communicating. Social organization's explicit knowledge transformating strategy includs. the information acquisition, the information pretreatment, the knowledge discovering, the knowledge reorganization and the knowledge reconstruction. The tacit knowledge transformating strategy includs encouraging the staffs to introduce their work experiences, using the mathematical model and computer language to transformat tacit knowledge, using each kind of communicating methods to exchange tacit knowledge. Knowledge integration in social organization includes partial integration, overall integration, internal integration and exterior integration. Its methods are the classification integration, the three-dimensional integration and the purpose integration. The ways of knowledge sharing involve the knowledge sharing between individuals, individual knowledge sharing inner and external the organization, from the organization to individual, individual knowledge and capability sharing inside the organization, the inner organization's knowledge transforming to individual, the knowledge sharing between the inner organization and the exterior organization, exterior organization's knowledge transforming and sharing, knowledge sharing inside different organization. The social organization's knowledge sharing faces some barrier: lacks of sufficient resources, the interpersonal relationship is not uncoordinated, the staffs' knowledge foundation is different, the material and technical foundation are weak, the organizational structure is the organizational structure is unreasonable, the cultural element influences the knowledge sharing. To promote the social organization's knowledge sharing, we can establish the knowledge depositary and perfect inspiring mechanism, reduce the differences among the staffs, establish knowledge sharing network and knowledge-based organization structure, shape an enterprise culture that benefits to the knowledge sharing.
