Technology diffusion is an important realm in the technology innovation research, latent economic benefit for the technology innovation can be utmost to d-evelop only by dint of technology diffusion. How to speed the technology diffusion, thereby achieve rapid economic growth, has already become the point of t he current research. Among them, the research of the factors affecting the tec-hn ology diffusion, has been an important aspect of the technology diffusion, In ou r current economic system operation, with the technology diffusion under the in fluence of so many factors, how to generally understand these factors which i-nfl uence the technology diffusion is very important in perfecting and enriching t-hetechnology diffusion theories. This paper is mainly about the research of factors affecting technology diffusion. Firstly, based on inheriting and summarizing of the previous studies of diffusion influence factors, according to the divisions of the objects of influence f-actors of technology diffusion, this paper divides these influence factors into twotypes: The enterprise exterior environment and enterprise internal condition. Secondly, according to different scope of technology diffusion, this text discusses empirical research of three issues: intra-firm diffusion, interfirm diffusion and industry diffusion.First, using primarily the example of Computerized Numerically Controlled Machine Tools (CNC) in the UK metalworking and engineering industry, it is s-hown that intra-firm diffusion tends to lag behind inter-firm diffusion over the whole of the diffusion process and inter-firm diffusion patterns and extent may thus be poor indicators of overall diffusion. Although intra-firm diffusion is therefore crucial to the understanding of overall diffusion patterns the existing literature relating to it has severe limitations and there are no associated policy results. It is argued that much greater emphasis should be placed on intra-firm issuesin future diffusion research. It is also suggested that discussions of intra-firm p-olicy could usefully proceed within the context of already established general diffusion policy principles.According to the conclusion above, this paper identifies factors that can exp -lain the variation in the diffusion of continuous casting technology among Chinese steel firms. Potential factors affecting firm-level diffusion of continuous casting technology are tested econometrically using data from 75 Chinese steel firms. The results suggest that institutional factors, such as management structure, have had a significant influence on a firm's rate of diffusion. At the same time, research on the diffusion of new technologies has centered on the study of the interfirm rate of diffusion, paying much less attention to intrafirm aspects. This paper attempts to overcome this gap in the literature by analyzing the factors that influence the speed with which a new technology, the ATM, is fully adopted. The results show that the rate of intrafirm diffusion is explained by innovation, firm and market characteristics. In testing our hypotheses we make use of both traditional methods and survival analysis techniques. Finally, to analyze the industry diffusion, this paper uses the analysis on theinfluencing factor of diffusion of frequency conversion air conditioner technology as an example. The result shows that the firm size and market concentration degree are not strongly relative to diffusion, property right system and export arenegatively relative to diffusion, and to increasing the speed of real estate sell as well as moderately adjusting diffusion policy will accelerate diffusion.
