Nowadays, the researches of methodology have become an important part in Management Science which is mostly because of the predicament of scientific methods. Through reviewing the history of management and philosophy of science, this article try to argue that the scientific methods which are used in management research have completely been influenced by the Positivist in 20 century. But the managers in all departments feel that the management theory cannot direct their action when they meet an actual problem. According to the analysis of induction problem by Karl Popper and the tendency of "farewell to reason" proposed by Paul Feyabend, this paper want to point out that the predicament of modern management is not only cause by the mathematical methods, just as Herbert Simon says, but also caused by experienced methods which are proposed by Positivist. They all believe that the human knowledge attained by scientific method is obviously fit to every condition. And this tenet made the scientists in management think that their theory from the scientific program can solve all the problems in real management. After comment on the coincidence of thinking model between the Positivist and modern management, this paper finally argues that under the view of the post-modernism of philosophy of science, the research of management should give up the belief of popularity of knowledge and we should use both our experiences and management theory to deal with the new questions in our lives.
