As the world sees businesses liberalize and globalize in anunprecedented rate, China is seeing severe competition from its internationalcounterparts. This is especially true if we look at the expeditious developmentof China's economy, especially as the country has recently joined the WTO. Questions emerge addressing how China is going to withstand andultimately more important, prosper in this new era of fierce competition. Inlight of that subject, this essay reviews the current of intellectual property lawand technology--copyrights, trademarks and patents--as well as theirpractices in China. The essay also reviews and analyzes the preliminaries ofintellectual property law and technology;and from then further explores andreflects the interrelationship between intellectual properties and thedevelopment of technologies and economies, as well as the importance ofintellectual properties in the international trade environment. The essay also assesses strategies and practices from developedcountries, e.g., the U.S.A., Japan;combined with the aforementionedunderstanding and analysis of China's current situation to project a morecomplete view on business technology management and knowledgemanagement strategies on all necessary grounds--purposes, principles andpractices. Which hopefully suggests, to an extent, solutions for thegovernment and businesses to practice intellectual property law andtechnology for results.
