The Adjustment Of Industrial Structure And Economic Development In Shixing County

Shixing County is a developing mountain area in the north of Guangdong Province, which abounds in natural resources. A great deal effort has been done to adjust the rural industrial structure in these years, which makes a great development in the economy of the county. In this study, the author summarized the background of overall planning economy development of rural and city in the nation and the province, expanding the economy of county region and adjusting rural industrial structure. The related concepts, features, principles and strategically focal points of economy of county region were introduced. According to the natural resource condition of Shixing County, the analysis of civil economic development condition of this county from 2000 to 2004, and the present condition of the structure of three major industries in the county and three major industries in towns of Shixing County, the existing important problems on economy of county region and structure of agricultural industry were presented. And according to the real condition of Shixing County, The future adjustment of rural industrial structure to three main types of towns in Shixing County including leading industry type, traditional sources type and city outskirts type was suggested. As to how to develop the economy of Shixing County, the author puts forward countermeasures including attracting investments from oversea, strengthening infrastructure construction, building up better environment to develop, paying a special attention to tax and finance, increasing the fiscal size steadily, and so on. At last, according to the principle of the adjusting rural industrial structure and the developing economy of the county region, as to how to develop and strengthen the economy of the county region in the developing area in the north of Guangdong Province, the strategic suggestions that the author raised include: to firmly establish and implement the view of scientific development, persist in the overall development of the rural and city, accelerate the process of agricultural industrialization, push on the adjustment of the rural economy structure and increase the income of peasants; take industrialization as a core, use industrialization to promote the agricultural industrialization and urbanization, develop urbanization based on county town and centre town; give full play to comparative advantage, devote major efforts to developing characteristic economy, create better economic and social environment and strengthen supports to agriculture Finally, reach the goal to increase income of peasants and farmers, improve agricultural efficacy and prosper the countryside in the developing area in the north of Guangdong Province.
