The Primary Study On Soil Worship Of China

The soil worship consciousness is some kind of general idea of people's admiration, fearfulness, prayer and dependence to soil. This kind of consciousness was based on the agricultural environment of China. This thesis did some research on the origin, historical process, function, and modern situation of the soil worship consciousness. Except the preface and the postscript, the main body consisted of four parts:Parti was to explain the intension of the soil worship consciousness, introduce its historical process simply and analyze the reason why it formed at the same time.Part2 was to introduce the influence of the soil worship consciousness, including the influence on people's natural value, life style, and local culture and so on.Part 3 was to introduce the function of the soil worship, including the control function, maintain function and amusement function etc.Part4 was to produce the modern situation of the soil worship consciousness. This part separately produced how the farmers and people in the city treated the soil differently, and simply analyzed how the change of the soil worship consciousness had influenced other values of people.
