The tourist considers destination image perceptions mostly, besides time, distance, transportation, traveling cost and so on, before choosing destinations and making traveling decisions. The destinations that have excellent images in tourists' minds can always absorb them who are away from here. The destination image has become one of the most important elements in choosing tourist destination.In the 20 years, Jiujiang tourism has made a big step, and become a better one in Jiangxi tourism, but the natives of Jiujiang discover the level of the resource development is unparallel between areas or scenic spots during the process of development, management is worse than adjoining areas with similar resources, due to lacking of unified and advisable guideline for planning about image based on region context. After analyzing, the article make a decision that: Jiujiang is a productive areas with the beautiful scenery covering mountains, rivers, lakes, cities and the colorful literacy of the ancient and modern, oriental and western. The characteristics of the place, regional tourism productivity, and tourist's image perceptions and tourist demand make destination images colorful, so Jiujiang also is a areas with open and colorful image.The article builds regional context construction based on geological condition and social literacy. After the discussions of tourists market, current image investigation and image comparison among Yangtze River areas, then it put forward the image positioning, logo designing, identity elements and spread strategy of the Jiujiang tourism.The article builds up the process and method of tourism image with Jiujiang characteristics by sticking to the combination of the theory and experiences, and having the direction of tourist market as basic principle having areas context as basic condition, in order to making meaningful suggestions in Jiujiang tourism development and widen china's tourism image theory and method about region.
