| Intellectual property (IP) has huge economic value as intangible assets and considerable commercial competitive value as intellectual capital rights of enterprise in modern economic lives. With the foundation of the global economic integration and the improvement in global information network, the quantity and quality of intellectual property is growing as the prime competitive resources of enterprises. Currently, electronic commerce (EC) emerges as a new business pattern, whose essence is trades by electronic data exchange with the advantage of cost cut and market response time decrease, and a growing number of companies have adopted EC as their prime means of trades. The trading volumes of EC are increasing rapidly. The EC will be one of the most popular business mean in the future. The data process procedures of EC cover many contents of intellectual property such as copyright, patent right, trademark right, against unfair competition and business secret. In order to manage the transmission and use of the data information in EC and protect the data information from using illegally, the intellectual property management (IPM) under the environment of EC is required. The researches on IPM under the EC circumstance are becoming the common needs of the developments of EC and the developments of IPM.This paper specializes in the perfection and innovation of IPM strategy under the EC circumstance in the sight of enterprise, and develops the theory of IPM. The researches have three main points: firstly, the historic inevitability of the generation of intellectual property and IPM is introduced, and the influence of EC to traditional IPM and the difference of IPM under EC and traditional IPM are analyzed. Then, the essentiality of researching the IPM strategy under EC is pointed out explicitly; secondly, the actualities of the domestic IPM and the overseas IPM, including management contents, management patterns and experiences are analyzed systematically. The differences between the domestic enterprises and overseas enterprises are compared, and the existing problems of IPM in domestic enterprise are pointed out explicitly; thirdly, a new management pattern and strategy of IPM under EC for domestic companies is proposed, which contains the management strategies of domain name, trademark, EC software and business secret and the innovation method of autonomous intellectual property. This management pattern and strategy will make the enterprise achieve the sustainable value of IP. |
