On the basis of ecology principles, an ecological impact assessment index system to regional development was set up. Ttaken the construction of Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park as an example, the thesis studied the impact on regional ecosystem structures and functions, disscussed the strategies of ecological construction and restoration in order to reduce the disadvantage of regional development on the ecological environment and promote the sustainable development of the region. Following results were concluded:(1) Taken the region as study object, based on the ecosystem integrality , considering individualities and commonness of all kinds of ecosystems , an ecological impact assessment index system to regional development was set up.(2) The natural ecosystem conditions are good in the study region. Received the influence of several existing large-scale enterprises in Dachang, the bio-diversity and ecosystem structures of the region have already presented the degradation sign. However, ecosystems such as extant wetland, farmland, etc. still play a very important role in improving the ecological environmental quality of the region. In the riverine wetland, there are 96 species of vascular plants belonging to 87 genera and 41 family and their biodiversity indexes lie between 0.099-1.191, plant community is of simple structure and the advantaged species is planted outstandingly, mostly single excellent community. There are also certain amounts of wetland birds, a large percentage of which are Ardeidae, Gallinula chloropus and Tachybaptus ruficollis . The region has stable high yields. the cereal crops take rice and wheat are dominant grain crops. The total ecosystem function services of two chemical sections are up to 10222.87 million yuan.a~-1 (Chinese RMB), among them the farmland, wetland and forestland account for 44.57%,38.37%and 0.51% respectively.(3) The construction of the chemical park will change the ecosystem structures andfunctions in the park completely, 2094.19 hm2 farmland and 452 hm2 wetland will be substituted by man-made buildings such as workshops, roads and docks. The functions of farmland ecosystem and wetland ecosystem will be totally lost. Water areas will reduce by 32.06 hm2 and its function will be weakened. Forestland will increase by 514.30 hm2 and its function is going to be strengthened. The ecosystem function services will reduce 6530.55 million yuan?a'' (Chinese RMB) after the chemical park builds up.(4) Based on the influence of regional ecosystem by the construction development above-mentioned, the thesis proposed the strategies of regional ecological construction and protection. The following were gotten: ?Strengthen virescence and ecological restoration. ? Strengthen the construction of eco-corridors. ?Protect the riverine wetland, repair and rebuilds the ecological sensitive patches. ?Strictly protect the riverhead dependency. ?Adjust the Jiuligeng Eco-agriculture Strip planned in Nanjing Development Collectivity Planning to an eco-corridor relying mainly on forestry, nursery stock industry and flowers industry.
