Research On Logistics Resources Integration By Fourth Party Logistics

At present, our country has abundant logistics resources, however, these resources are scattered, weak, surplus but illogical in structure and have poor management. As a result, the buyers of logistics service cannot obtain high-level logistics service. Along with development of modern logistics, a new logistics mode: Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) has gotten more and more attention because of it's excellent management ability to supply chain and integrating ability to resources. Therefore, This paper presents that 4PL can be utilized to integrate logistics resource and to offer whole solution for the buyers of logistics service. Concretely, this paper involves as follows and educes corresponding results. Firstly, this paper analyzes the actuality of our country's logistics resources, then proves the conclusion through investigating the logistics resources actuality of Chongqing, which provide a basis for the research of whole paper. Secondly, this paper completely researches the background, definition, characters and operation models of 4PL, then compares Third Party Logistics(3PL) with 4PL. On the base, this paper puts forward the mode with which 4PL integrates logistics resources. The mode can be summed up as follows: 4PL builds collaborative logistics network at first, then establishes logistics supply chain in the network and offers whole logistics solution for logistics demand enterprise. Afterwards, this paper analyzes the merits and feasibility of the mode. Thirdly, this paper researches the base which 4PL integrates logistics resources: collaborative logistics network. This paper mainly defines the network, analyzing it's characters and researching it's building. This paper thinks, the biggest merit using collaborative logistics network to integrate logistics resourses is the saving of deal cost. Fourthly, this paper researches the precondition which 4PL integrates logistics resources: the design of business logistics whole solution, emphatically analyzing decision-making of business logistics mode and putting forward a decision-making model considering transformation cost and risk for business logistics mode. Fifthly, this paper researches the means which 4PL integrates logistics resources: building and managing logistics supply chain. It mainly analyzes the information platform which 4PL integrates logistics resources, the principle and process of building logistics supply chain and contract management of logistics supply chain, then, emphatically analyzes subcontract design in logistics supply chain and puts forward a multi-task logistics subcontract model considering integration.
