After entering into the WTO, China's national economy is incorporated in the spring tide of the global economy. Economic globalization is changing the model of Chinese enterprises'development. In order to tackle the new situation of international competition, more and more Chinese enterprises start to go abroad, and participate in the tide of international competition through the way of foreign direct investment. After more than 20 years development, Chinese TNCs'foreign direct investment has obtained some achievements. At present, Chinese overseas enterprises spread all over 134 countries and regions in the world, but the distribution of investment is uneven. To European Union, one of the three most important economic entities in the world, our FDI scale is really very small comparing to the huge economic trade contacts between the China and European Union. Under the new situation of European Union's eastern enlargement, it is more and more important for our enterprises to develop FDI in European Union. In order to promote our enterprises'entry into European Union market, this text attempts to put forward suggestion on developing Chinese enterprises'FDI in European Union On the basis of FDI theories analyses. This paper is divided into four main chapters except the preface. The first chapter probes into the theoretical foundation of Chinese enterprises'developing FDI in European Union countries through analyzing of the main FDI theories synthetically. And chapter two analyzes the current situation and main reasons of Chinese corporations'FDI in European Union. It finds out the main characteristics are small scales,uneven distribution and etc. And the main motivations are exploring the European Union market,evading anti-dumping barriers and acquiring cutting-edge technology. The third chapter concentrates on discussing restrictions that occurring in the process of Chinese TNCs'FDI from two aspects: the FDI policies of European Union countries and our enterprises. It turns out to be that the main problem lies in our enterprises'own defaults, and then put forward some solutions. The final part mainly discusses the question how to invest in European Union countries. By drawing lessons from other Asian countries'practice, we put forward some suggestion of route choices for our enterprises to enter into European Union countries.
