This thesis presents the analysis of the current sales performance and the proposition for future strategic adjustment of Carrier Air-conditioning Corporation in Sichuan region.Carrier is the worldwide leading provider for air-conditioning equipments and it has been around in the China market for 18 years. The author has been with the sales division of Carrier for almost eight years, and thereby has the first-hand experience of the evolutions of this multi-national organization driven by the unique sales model of the China market. The author also strongly feels that since the Reform and Opening, while the market becomes more open, the competition between domestic and foreign corporations are much more intensive than before, leading to the formation of the unique Chinese-styled economic system.In this thesis, based on the modern market economy theories, the current sales performance of Carrier in Sichuan region has been thoroughly studied using analytical methods such as macroeconomic analysis, M. Porter's competition factor analysis, SWOT analysis, Boston matrix of product portfolio analysis, targeted market analysis and so on. Problems are identified, and possible solutions are proposed for the future strategic adjustment.
