China s entering WTO shows that the economic reform has a new phase. After entering WTO, Chinese banking will participate the process of economic globalization, and the reform of banking will have a new beginning.Comparing with the enormous financial service network and long-time local Comparing business relationship of Chinese capital bank, foreign capital bank has the problem of high cost, low profit and high risk in traditional deposit and loan business. However, foreign capital bank has obvious superiority over Chinese capital bank, such as advanced technique, high quality human resource, global business network, plentiful experience of international business, close relationship with international group and the ability of risk control. So, the coming of foreign capital bank brings severe competition of intermediate business. How to make use of opportunity to develop intermediate business is becoming the urgent task of Chinese capital bank.The aim of this article is to find out the way of developing intermediate business of Chinese commercial bank through analyzing the practical situation of intermediate business of international commercial bank.First, the author introduces the conception, the basic nature, the types of intermediate business and the importance of intermediate business for Chinese commercial bank.Secondly, Take the case of American, European, the author analyses thecharacteristic, trend of development , experience and lessons of intermediate business in developed country.Thirdly ,expatiates the present status ,trait of our commercial banks intermediate business ,and the main factors that effect the development of our commercial banks intermediate business -then compare the competitive strength of Chinese with that of developed country.From above analysis, the author finds out that the way of developing intermediate business is marketing. And gives the concrete solution from object market tactics, price tactics .sales motion promotion tactics and distribute tactics.
