Computer network security and stability of the system are the most concerned issues of network designers and managers. The open Internet protocols enable increasing computers to be connected to the Internet and generate more web applications, which lead to more complex threats to the security of computer networks.Campus networks are facing with a number of security issues. Besides the security threats from the Internet, there are also various problems existing in the components of the campus network systems. Therefore, it is of practical significance to building the overall security of campus networks. The ordinary campus network security solutions are usually too simple. Most of them just use firewalls and other limited measures to achieve a single point of or partial security. The mainstream network security technology also has limitations because they cannot cover the entire campus network security in all levels and directions. The new idea of campus network security is to bring security into the network infrastructure at all levels to achieve the overall campus network security. Therefore, the campus network security is a system. It is not a firewall, intrusion detection, certification, authorization, a virtual private network, or products provided by a commercial company. An in-depth analysis must be conducted on all levels of campus network security systems. Only by making a comprehensive use of advanced security technologies and establishing an in-depth defense system could it be automatically adapt to the dynamic security changes of networks.By adopting the whole network dynamic security system APPDRR model combined with characteristics of the network system, this paper conducted a comprehensive and detailed analysis to the security risks facing the campus network from seven aspects: physical layer, link layer, network layer, transport layer, system layer, application layer and management layer. In addition, the current mainstream network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, virtual private network (VPN), authentication, data backup technology were studied to explain the campus network security technologies which need to pay more attention to. Finally, this paper took the example of the network of Ningbo City Vocational-technical College to analyze the network security in reality and designed the campus network security solutions. The campus network was divided into five security zones: the network access layer, network distribution / core layer, the network edge layer, application layer and network equipment physical layer. By integrated use of different network security technology and products to make them form linkage collaboration at all levels in order to achieve the overall campus network security. This paper has strong pertinence and feasibility because it is based on the in-depth research of the network security technology and abundant investigation of the campus network security building in Ningbo City Vocational-technical College.Campus network construction is a continuous complex work. For the consideration of its safety, it requires long-term planning to ensure the advancement and scalability of its technology. As means of attack is continually updated and network security technologies are evolving, it is still a subject worth studying on how to adapt to network changes in technology and establish an adaptive security system.
