Design And Implementation Of Foreign Student Management Information System For Northeastern University

Recently, with the rapidly increasing number of foreign students and the consistent expanding scale of foreign student education, the foreign student education in our country is confronted with more opportunities and extremely large challenges. As a well-known university, the Northeastern University attracts more and more foreign students to further their education here. In this situation, a modern office environment for recruitment and management is brought forward by the foreign student enrolment office of Northeastern University to improve work efficiency and achieve high level management.After a whole analysis of the home and aboard situation and develop background, the signification and availability of this system is analyzed, and a set of solutions of the student information system are proposed. The main modules of this system are analyzed and designed in details, including applications for admission, enrollment, admission procedure, in school management, graduation management and alumni record management. The admission procedure module and the management module in-school of this system consist of several sub-modules. Then a detailed statement of function requirement, database design, function module design, program design and system test are made. A brief analysis is given about some relative technical, such as database connection, ADO.NET data access, ASP.Net network programming, C# program design, and function chart and flowchart of important modules are attached.A three-layer system construction based on B/S is applied to analyze and design this system. ASP.NET technique, ADO.NET technique and Sql Server database technique are adopted as well to develop and implement the system to achieve the efficient management of the stages from entrance application to graduation. The advantages of this system are complete function, superior performance, simply operation and so on.
